Canada announces additional aid to respond to the humanitarian crisis in Sudan by providing $132.2M in international assistance funding, in addition to last year’s allocated aid of $170M, to help the Sudanese people who fled their homes either inside Sudan and outside of Sudan because of the war that erupted last year. This showcases Canada’s commitment to continue to support the people of Sudan.

Minister Ahmed Hussen, accompanied with MP Iqraa Khalid of Erin Mills, Mississauga, met with the Sudanese Canadian Communities Association, Sadagaat-Canada and Darfur Diaspora Association to make this announcement earlier today.

This announcement comes ahead of Minister Ahmed Hussen trip to Paris on Monday April 15th, for the International Humanitarian Conference for Sudan and Its Neighbours.
